Leila Palermo was born in Milan, moved with her family to the United States at a very young age and then to Rome, before moving back to Milan where she currently lives and works. After high school she majored at the European Institute of Design with an address in Graphic Design and Art Direction, working as graphic designer in fashion and beauty magazines, before becoming a professional journalist in 1990. Later, he collaborated as a consultant with various agencies-dealing with communication and image strategies – for companies such as Pollini, Wella and Gruppo La Perla.
In 1995 she established Studio Next, a communication agency specialized in brand development, and repositioning of Italian and International brands, specializing in scouting and branding for emerging fashion talents. In recent years she has worked on International projects, taking care of the development of the most interesting emerging designer of the Italian panorama such as Fausto Puglisi, Bruno Bordese, Gabriele Colangelo, Albino, Andrea Pompilio, Sara Lanzi, Lucio Vanotti and Vincenzo de Cotiis.
She is a lover of cats, Scandinavian design, vintage shopping and the search for new trends that she nurtures by traveling around the world in cities like London, Los Angeles, Stockholm – origin of her maternal family – and Tokyo, her special place on Planet Earth.
